at the mailbox
hello stranger
somehow I’d forgotten
to get the mail for months
it didn’t seem important
it felt so strange
to look inside
it wasn’t important
I’d forgotten
it seems I’d forgotten before
it doesn’t matter
strange though
why is my
mailbox in front of
the neighbors house
this I must ponder
to the carport
through the side door
constructional mess abounds
all over the grounds
sunlight pouring from windows
spilling on my pizza
dripping on drop cloth over chair
radio playing miracles
