Might we visit an astral plane after we die?...hopefully we wouldn’t have to get there two or three hours in advance and stand in line...but, could we?...possibly, that is depending on what or who you believe...what is an astral plane first of all?...it is a plane of existence that has been suggested by many philosophies and religions over thousands of years…it is a place of spheres that are crossed by the soul as it is on its way to being born...so they say...and after death...it’s a realm where the spirit goes when it leaves the body...it can leave through what is called astral projection or when one dies...this magical plane is said to be inhabited by roaming spirits, benevolent angels and other forms of shadowy beings…Paramahansa Yogananda wrote about it in his famous book ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’, writing that "The astral universe . . . is hundreds of times larger than the material universe...[with] many astral planets, teeming with astral beings."...he learned this from his guru he said and he also believed that almost all individuals entered into the astral planes upon their deaths...according to those familiar with occult teachings, the astral plane is but one of seven different planes and these planes are made up of sub-planes and...it’s rather complicated and it isn’t necessary to know before you go...it is said that we currently inhabit the material plane which is considered to be the bottom and work our way up.
