Most likely, you have heard the
term, the sixth sense…it is another term for extrasensory perception or what is
commonly called ESP…sometimes certain people just have a ‘knack’ for knowing
what is going to happen next, and that is often referred as ‘having a sixth
sense’…the classical definition of ESP involves receiving information that is
somehow not gained through the what we would term the recognized senses and is
not originated internally...or as I said, a ‘knack’ for anticipating the
future…according to the National Science Foundation extrasensory perception is
listed as pseudoscience…of course it is…anything that isn’t black and white,
they don’t see at all how such a thing could be possible…but anyway, the
expression ‘sixth sense’ isn’t really correct…there are of course the five
traditional senses, sight, touch, hearing, smell, and taste, but there are
others according to ‘experts’…that would be balance, pain, and a couple of
others…there really isn’t any agreement among the experts on how many there
are…it seems they can’t even agree what defines a ‘sense’…it is said that some
animals possess certain ‘senses’ that humans do not…many people lack common
sense which causes many problems.
