Here's something to think about on your way to the dentist...Tommy Phillips is a
Hockey Hall of Famer that played for teams such as the Rat Portage Thistles and
the Vancouver Millionaires among others…he was known for his all-around playing
ability and it’s said he had a very hard shot… When the Hockey Hall of Fame was
founded in 1945, Phillips was one of the original nine inductees…the others
being (Hobey Baker, Charlie Gardiner, Eddie Gerard, Frank McGee, Howie Morenz,
Harvey Pulford, Hod Stuart and Georges Vézina)…he died at the young age of 40
from blood poisoning after getting a tooth pulled.
