There were a lot of bad
men in the old west and there were many a ‘bad girl’ who populated the cities
and towns of the old west years ago… The kind that were considered to be the worst
type,. , at least according the proper women, were the girls who made their
living by offering paid sex in the numerous brothels and other parts of the
western towns where strangers would come into looking for a little company, and
a little more…these girls generally steered clear of the main parts of town and
stayed in their own areas…the other type of "bad girl” were the saloon and
dance hall women, who usually were not prostitutes… of course the ‘respectable’
ladies of the day still looked down on them and considered them to be ‘fallen’.
