There’s nothing like a
good Christmas song this time of year either…my favorites are We Three Kings, Holly
Jolly Christmas, and Jingle Bell Rock among others…I like my traditional
Christmas carols traditional, not with some jazzy arrangement or attempt to
make a rock song out of it, or let’s see how loud we can sing it and how many
notes we can hit…we went to a park that normally has the big orchestra play
holiday songs, but this year they had a jazz orchestra and it was pretty bad…we
left halfway through the program…and we weren’t the only ones…one of the local
theme parks has a Christmas show where they try to reinvent the wheel with the
old songs…my wife likes it but I don’t care for it…the new Christmas songs they
sometimes play in stores…I don’t care for most of them but maybe the new
generations do.
