I always wanted to go to
the airport the day before Thanksgiving and I got my chance…had to take a family
member there…the busiest travel day of the year I believe…and there were a lot
of folks there…traveling to visit their families or friends…or maybe coming
back to town from a business trip…reminds me of the old ‘Planes, Trains, and
Automobiles movie with Steve Martin and John Candy…a pretty funny movie…we got
all the goodies we like…turkey, spiral ham, pumpkin pie with whipped
cream…we’ll have mashed potatoes and rolls…not to get corny, but it’s a good
time to be thankful for all the good things…we tend to focus on the negative a
lot but most of us have many good things in our lives…and we need to remember
those too…more often I think.
