I don’t get this
fascination with Star Trek…I grew up with it when it was on its first
incarnation and it always looked like a cheezy show even when I was young…I
guess some folks like that science fiction stuff, but it never appealed to me…I
guess some people just like the distraction away from the real world…I get that
and I suppose we all have our things that distract us from the mundaneness of
everyday existence, or the troubles that we have now and then…it’s nice to get
away from it as long as you don’t take it too far…maybe it’s these types of
distractions that help us slide by…whether it’s movies, or television shows, or
music…they can be a good thing…or sometimes they’re a bad thing depending on
what they are…just like most things in life.
