Greet the Dao each day. Do not try to figure out why, when, or what for.
Leave the cerebral gymnastics for the scholars and those who are too busy
contemplating what cannot be contemplated to practice. A master once said “do
not give me thoughts and ramblings, they are water through my fingers. Give me
something solid like this tree to hold on to”. There is nothing that exists
that is not based in the Dao. That is all one needs to know. Do not look at the
big picture and let the small picture get distorted. One step at a time, one
day at a time. That is the key. Walk like an elephant, unhurried. Practice as
though your life depends on it, because it does.
