When conflict is reconciled
There may be some hard feelings that remain
This is dangerous
The sage accepts less than is due
And does not blame or punish
For harmony seeks agreement
Where justice seeks payment.
The ancients said: "nature is impartial
Therefore it serves those who serve all."
Leave resentments and grudges behind
Carrying them around is like carrying around toxic poisons
Practice goodness instead and know that injury
Should be repaid with justice and then forgiveness
That is how to remain in harmony.
