If meditating to the
deafening sound of silence is not for you, try meditation by relaxing to your
favorite sounds. There are many apps available that you can choose from or you
can get them from another source. There are ones with white noise and ones with
many sounds such as rain, cityscapes, trains, oceans, and more. Sit in a
meditation pose, or find a comfortable chair or couch and let your mind drift
and calm to the relaxing sound you have chosen. If you fall asleep, fall asleep
for your body is telling you something. Aim for 15 minutes a day minimum, every
day. Of course the intelligentsia will tell you that doing so is not ‘real’
