There’s nothing like a
warm bottle of sake to warm you up on a cold evening. A cold evening when you
have been walking around with no particular place to go; just walking past the
pachinko parlors and the endless view of the neon lights; all those neon lights
in different colors. Then, you come across a noodle shop. There isn’t anything
like sitting down to a hot bowl of noodle soup and some good company to whittle
away the hours and please keep those bottles of sake coming. We have our
favorite table, our favorite server, our favorite dessert. We play favorites
all the time. The Dao of course plays no favorites and we have to respect that.
No matter how close we try to get to it and understand it, it shows no
favoritism to us, but of course we should expect that if we truly know anything
about it.
