On the train to Tokyo, I
look out at the fields, the mountains, the streams, all flashing by; a blur
really, my mind lost somewhere in last night’s sake and whiskey. A stranger in
a strange land trying to find something that I’m not sure is even here. Maybe
it is, maybe it is thousands of miles away. All I know is that this is where I
want to be. I can still hear the farewell singing from the station where I
boarded the train and it is never far from my mind.
