Animals do not think
about death. A butterfly has a short life, yet it goes about its life not
knowing what a limited time it has. Animals live in the moment. Humans live
their lives being shaped by the past or by the future. If we could only live in
the now, our minds full of this moment. Some long for the past, others for the
future. Only the wise are content with the now.
