Happiness is fleeting.
As a monk once said, “Happiness is knowing that there is no such thing as
happiness.” Chasing happiness can be like a horse being drawn to a barn on fire.
It should know better, but it can’t help
itself. A horse should run free on the plains, free to go where it pleases.
Remember that all that glitters is not gold and a mirage is only one step away
as one distances themselves from the road of the Dao. It is all too easy to
take a misstep and find yourself tumbling down a ravine.
