Peace lies not in the
world, but in the one who walks the path. When it is cold, we put on warmer
clothes. When it is warm, we do not use heavy garments. We acclimate ourselves
to the weather around us. We don’t go out in mittens and a heavy coat in summer
and expect the weather to all of a sudden cool down. We can’t go out in the
middle of a snowstorm in shorts and a t-shirt and expect not to feel frigid. If
we want a peaceful mind, we have to look inside and not expect the outside
world to be peaceful for us; that just isn’t going to happen.
