Sean Flynn was
the son of the legendary swashbuckling actor Errol Flynn. The younger Flynn had
tried acting; the very thing that made his father famous and brought him
riches, but the younger Flynn found little satisfaction in it and became bored.
After a series of jobs, he became a photojournalist and was known for taking
great risks for the sake of his work. He was on assignment for Time magazine when
he was captured by Communist guerrillas while travelling by motorcycle in
Cambodia, April 6, 1970. Unlike his father whose Hollywood scripts allowed him
to get out of trouble, it is believed that Sean was held captive by the Khmer
Rouge for a time before being executed.
