She mentions to him that
it is a beautiful day outside. “I wish the company would move our desks outdoors!”
He sighs and says, “Yes, it is a beautiful day…a beautiful day to be far, far away
from here, if not physically then in spirit at least”. She smiles. A duck
floats on the nearby pond, a turtle rests on the bank. A heron carefully steps
in the shallow water in search of a bite to eat. Off in the distance, the sound
of crows can be heard.
