It is impossible for
night and day to live together. The Dao sees to this. One comes while one goes.
One makes a dramatic arrival while the other goes with slightly less drama. One
symbolizes a beginning while the other symbolizes an ending but on the other
side of the world the beginning and the ending are different. People get up to
watch a sunrise or linger to watch a sunset. No one lingers to watch the moon
disappear or notice it much when it arrives until maybe it is full, and then it
takes the blame right or wrong for various things happening.
