They say a leopard
cannot change its spots. It is what it is. It reminds me of the story of the
scorpion who asked the frog to ride on its back across a stream. The frog was
wary knowing the deadly sting of a scorpion, but the scorpion persisted in his
request and told the frog he would not harm him, and the frog finally relented.
As soon as they crossed the river the scorpion stung the frog killing and making
a meal of him. The scorpion could not help himself. For us, it can be very
difficult to change our spots, although not impossible. However, be cautious
around those that change like the scorpion. They can just as easily change back
once they get what they want from you.
