It is often a
strange journey that we take, full of detours both welcome and unwelcome, side
roads that we never planned on taking. They say to enjoy the journey and not
concentrate on the destination. But what is the destination? Death. If there is
life, then there must be death. We waste a lot of time on our journey, we do
not take advantage of what life offers us; beauty, tranquility, reward. We
often have a room on the Las Vegas strip, but never leave the room. We are too
busy planning what we are going to do tomorrow to enjoy today. Yes, we have
regrets about our journey; roads not taken, exits we should not have taken, but
there is nothing we can do about it now. We have what is in front of us, and
should make a concentrated effort to take advantage of our remaining days here.
