We want to have
peace but often torpedo our own efforts. We find a lifeboat to rescue us, but
before long we are back at the helm of our ship doing the same thing that
caused us to sink the last time. If we are not at peace with ourselves, how can
we be at peace with what surrounds us? To be at peace is to let go. Let go of
expectations which create anxiety and stress. Stop demanding so much from
others and from yourself. Learn to slow down. A butterfly measures its life in
moments, yet it still gets everything done.
