There are
difficult paths and there are less difficult paths. There are very few easy
paths. It makes sense to take the less difficult path, but so many take the
difficult path; usually not out of want, but because they don’t know how to
avoid it. They make unwise decisions, some of which can last a lifetime. The
difficult path may beckon them by seemingly offering shortcuts; shortcuts which
turn out to be circuitous routes that lead them back to the same place, or to
somewhere else that they don’t want to be. No one is perfect and we all make
mistakes, but these mistakes are trying to teach us something, but all too
often we are not good students. We keep making the same mistakes over and over.
Why does the same woman keep getting involved in a series of bad relationships
with men? Chance? Doubtful. It’s all about the paths we take. Sometimes we
choose our path, and sometimes our path is chosen for us, but it is never too
late to change the road you are on, as once said in a famous song.
