Children are
born. Children grow up and move away. Parents grow old and die. Time passes.
Life goes on. The cycle goes on and on. There is no stopping the clock, no
time-outs. We often learn to appreciate what was once it what was and not what
is, or as the song goes, ‘you don’t know what you got til it’s gone’. How much
we would give to spend just a little time with a loved one once more, or to
spend a day in our innocent youth. Alas, sentimentality cannot beget a new
reality. Life is often disappointing that way.
