Parties are almost
always a letdown. One anticipates the event but it seldom lives up to what we
thought it would be. Maybe we find a quiet area somewhere and wonder why we are
not having such a great time. Perhaps we engage in quiet conversation with
someone instead of being engaged with the party. Life is a lot like this. We
are always anticipating, but somehow it usually never lives up to expectations.
Without anticipation or expectation, we could be free to actually enjoy the
moment.
