The Dao is ageless.
It never ages. However we do. Things that we once enjoyed we realize are now
for a younger generation. The old makes way for the new. That is the way of the
world and the Dao as well. Our eyesight fades and with it the dreams we once had.
Yet if we hold the teachings of the Dao close, we have its wisdom to comfort
us. The things we held dear when we were young now perhaps seem silly and
trivial. As we age, we have the
opportunity to see clearly and move beyond the imbecilities that life often
contains and enjoy the third period of our lives.
