There are as many
techniques in meditation as they is sand grains in the desert. The most used
techniques of meditation can be sorted and classified according to their techniques
and aspirations. One category emphasizes attention on a selected object, a thought,
an image, sound, etc…. A second category encourages a non-reactive monitoring
of present experience such as perception, thought, feelings, etc…This is
referred to as "mindfulness". The third technique is a little more
exotic and deals with moving beyond or "transcending" activity. Whichever
technique you prefer, meditate on a regular basis and seek a mind with inner
harmony.
