Monsters are
everywhere, under the bed, in the closet, around the next corner. However, we
cannot live our lives in constant dread. Plato said that we can easily forgive
a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are
afraid of the light. We turn away or we look but refuse to see. Man continues
to stumble along, making the same mistakes again and again because he refuses
to learn. Einstein remarked that the world is a dangerous place to live; not
because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do
anything about it.
