A
night without moon or stars is like the darkness of an unenlightened mind. A
mind that is shut does not let in any light, therefore it is doomed to a pitch
black existence. A mind that is open like a parachute will catch the winds of
wisdom and bask in the light of understanding. Verse 60 of the Tao Te Ching
says that if you follow the path of the Tao and you shall have nothing to fear.
Fear is often what keeps the darkest of minds dark.
