We often
hear teachers say that the goal is to be one with the universe. Well, that is
not quite true. We are already one with the universe, we just don’t realize it.
Man in general seems to think he is on a separate plane than the universe, or
earth in particular. Earth is here to help us, but not serve us. Now as far as
realizing we are one with everything, that is where the Dao comes in; more
specifically the teachings of the Tao Te Ching. If we take its words to heart,
we can quickly figure out that we are one with all whether we know it or not.
