I
have had associates who have been unfriendly to the idea of games of chance, be
it horse racing, greyhound racing, baccarat, keno, blackjack, roulette, or the
flip of a coin. Yet, if we give it some thought, does not everything in life
involve some kind of chance. Every time you get behind the wheel of your car,
you are taking a chance that either you or another driver will not cause an
accident which could take your life or injure you. Almost everything in life
requires taking some kind of chance, a risk, a gamble. When we get married, we
are taking a huge gamble that the person we have selected to be our mate will
be the right one. About 50 % of the time, it turns out not to be. So you see,
almost all of life is some kind of bet. You can always bet on the Dao winning.
