It
is often the ego that prevents us from being free. We are enslaved to the
notion that we have to be the wisest or the best at something. We succumb to
the popular idea that we need a six syllable title to show others how
successful we are. It is all a grand show and we are the ringmaster leading the
circus, the renowned magician trying to pull off some hanky-panky. We are often
too proud to admit we do not know, so we carry on a grand charade of pretending
we do. Lao Tzu said that to admit not knowing is the sign of a truly wise man
for only the fool will not admit to not knowing.
