Do
not lift a stone to only drop it on your toes. It is most unfortunate that we
ourselves often are the cause of our greatest sorrow, disappointments, and troubles.
It would behoove us to stay out of our own way. We would be wise to let things
happen in accordance with wu-wei. We must know what needs doing and do it and learn
what needs to be left alone and leave it alone. There is not a reason that we
have to get involved in everything. We will find that many things resolve
themselves without our interference. Sometimes our interference only
exacerbates the problem. If we have a muddy stream in front of us, we can let
it alone and let is settle on its own. No amount of thrashing about is going to
make it clear any faster no matter how good our intentions.
