Some
people are comfortable leaders, others are more comfortable following. Some
seem to always have a difficult time while others seem to coast easily. Some
are strong and large, some are destined to be small. Yet, the ones who follow
the way of the Dao will always be protected and endure. The ones who challenge
the Dao will be destroyed. That which does not fall into the way of the Dao is
doomed to failure. It has the staying power of an ice cube on a hot summer
sidewalk. People cause most of their own problems by not lining up with the
Dao. Instead, they abandon the Way seeking that which cannot be found. Look
around you, what endures?
