He
jumped into the pond and the ripples shook the world. He touched the rocks on
the bottom with his toes. He felt the water embrace him. The tiny fish darted
away but soon returned; some day to be the big fishes of the pond. He swam for
a bit and then got out and sat on the bank with a towel wrapped around him. He
heard every bird, every bug that crawled, felt every ray of the sunshine. He
had entered the waters of the Dao.
