The
sun which was a piercing yellow now sank lower in the sky and became a soft
orange. The rays of the sun touched the incoming tides like a whisper. We sat
in the sand. No one said anything. We just watched the sun set lower and lower
in the darkening blue sky; for here the day was ending and nightfall approached
rapidly. Somewhere else in the world, the sun was rising and a new day was
born, and so it goes.
