Contention

You cannot defeat me if I do not contend against you. If there is no contention you see, there can be no victory of defeat. Contention is usually reserved for those who look to satisfy their egos that they are better than the next man. It is far better to look to satisfy the desire for harmony. The best soldier is never violent, the best fighter one who avoids a fight. Without contention, there can be no thrill of victory, no agony of defeat. Without contention, there is a chance for peace, a chance for tranquility. The flags of all nations strike out against such thoughts.
