Sometimes it is a stranger that we may just know for a short time that can impact us for a lifetime. They are a part of our life ever so briefly, and then they are gone. However, a lasting impression remains. Such was the case with my teacher, a former student of a Tao master. I knew him only a little while before he took ill and died, but his impression on me has lasted from the time I was a young boy until now. We should be careful to make a good impression on others. Consciously or not, we may be making a lifelong impression on others.
