If we were asked to give up our valuables, what would we give up? Money, some jewelry, our finest bottle of brandy? True valuables are not gold, silver, or something material in nature. True valuables are humility, compassion, and frugality as stated in Tao Te Ching Verse 67. These are the valuables that lead us down the path of Tao. True valuables cannot be handed over, thrown on the ground, or locked away in a vault. They are deep within the heart.
