Words And Silence
Nature teaches us that as spring overcomes the cold and autumn overcomes the heat, so calm and quiet overcome the world. If one's words are not better than silence, one should keep silent. This is quite the contrary to a society that embraces the bombastic, celebrates the confrontational and is in a constant quest to turn up the volume. Sometimes the greatest voice of wisdom is silence. There is a time to speak up to right injustice and correct wrongs, but there is a time to know when words are superfluous, idle chatter, or gossip. Those are the times that we should be quiet even if it means offending those who do not know better.
