One time a blind man came to the temple to beg. Master Li handed him a book about the Tao Te Ching and the beggar walked away. “Why did you give him a book Master? He can’t read it. What good is that?” Master Li explained, “Oh, he takes it into town and sells it for money to buy some food.”
