There is no way to make appointment with enlightenment. It takes no phone calls, e-mail, or texts. Enlightenment should not even be goal of anyone’s practice. In fact, as one teacher said, there is no enlightenment, only enlightened activities. Enlightenment is no more a place we can reach than Shangri-La in fictional movie The Lost Horizon. Goal of same is just artificial human thought. Humans always have to create such a thing so they can congratulate themselves when they think they have attained it.
