Mindful Eating
The ancients have said that as mind is fed with silent thought, so should body absorb its food. Please practice mindfulness when eating whenever possible. When with family, it is good to engage in conversation and share thoughts and ideas. But when alone, be mindful of what you eat or drink. Take time to thank those who make it possible. Do not let mind drift into thoughts of what you did yesterday or what you are going to do next. Each bite of food a blessing. When eating, eat. When drinking, drink.
